The time for peace negotiations is long overdue; based on unofficial open-source reporting, approximately 300k Ukrainians and about 30k Russians have died to date, let alone the inestimable civilian wounded and maimed. While accurate verifiable numbers are hard to come by, we do know the Ukrainians are now conscripting young boys and old men as simple cannon fodder. Ukraine is a human meat grinder, with 13 million fleeing the country and another 5.5 million displaced, according to the UN.  Their infrastructure is being systematically destroyed, and few places have power. 

Due to saber-rattling on both sides, the US and Russia have both altered their official nuclear doctrine to now allow for preemptive first strikes if either party feels it is justified.  What?  Yes, both countries have moved us closer to nuclear Armageddon.  Luckily, we have the grossly incompetent Joe Biden’s hands on the button; if he can find it.

The US has obligated a little north of 114 billion in aid to Ukraine, busting our budget and accelerating inflation.  Also, depleting war stocks and degrading our military readiness to the likes not seen since the mid-1970’s. The strategic oil reserve is nearly empty.  The current administration has misled us about Ukraine – repeatedly.  The media has been totally compliant and willing accomplices. 

The US is engaged in a proxy war with Russia; we built their Army, gave them weapons and training, and continue to fund their entire existence. Support from other allies is waning; they have had enough.  We have no strategic interests in Ukraine (aside from 26 bio-labs that we are operating under sketchy circumstances).  We must stop the killing; we must negotiate an imperfect peace, now.  We must cut off the money spigot and demand peace – now. Enough slaughter.

The Biden Administration is not serious about peace – they should be. The United States is bumbling toward WW3, and an uninspiring Joe Biden has made it personal. 

Recently, Biden went to Ukraine and recklessly taunted Putin, challenged him and was rather provocative when the time called for cool heads and diplomacy.  I am sure the site of this doddering old man, shouting threats and shuffling aimlessly to the podium, struck fear into the hardened, murderous KGB heart, of Putin. 

I concur with Biden that Putin is evil incarnate- period; this is amplified by the war crimes his troops are committing to include rape, murder, and torture.  However, Ukraine is not a national strategic interest – by gosh 30% of Ukraine speaks Russian!  The country is rife with corruption  and are hostile to religion, banning Ukrainian Orthodox churches, evicting monks from monasteries, and on it goes.  

 Most striking of all is that Ukraine is NOT a member of NATO.  Biden keeps implying they are, not sure he knows what the heck he is talking about, or what day of the week it is today? 

Ironically, NATO has been literally moving physically closer toward Ukraine and Russia for years, adding more and more member states, and becoming increasingly dominate after the fall of the Berlin Wall.  All Russian asked for was that Ukraine remain neutral and NOT join NATO. To the Russians that was just too close for comfort, understandably so for a country that has spent 80 years under the MAD (mutually assured destruction) doctrine.

Hawaii’s congressional delegation has been a rubber stamp for the warmongers and military industrial complex, fully supporting the 110 billion in aid to Ukraine, much of which, both cash and weapons, is unaccounted for at this time; this is in addition to the already 400M in equipment we have given them. All paid for by the US taxpayer.  More, public reports say we are funding Ukrainian Pensions and the like.

Biden’s incompetence has succeeded in driving Russia into China’s arms, making that a true global threat to American. This is indeed a game changer and not good for America.

 I have not heard any of the Hawaii Democrats call for peace nor negotiations; Biden has rejected – twice now – any cease fire or talks to end hostilities displaying all the wisdom of Mr. Magoo, and our naïve Hawaii congressional delegation nods their head in unison. 

As I write this today, over 50% of Ukraine has no power.  Most of the country is in rubble. It is a humanitarian crisis, refugees everywhere, families destroyed, that is what happens in war. America and the west are weaker today due to Biden’s intervention, our military has been depleted where it is absolutely affecting our readiness, we are bankrupting ourselves, for what exactly?

 Our kids are going to have to do the dying for Biden.  The US has no exit strategy, none. China now to undergird Russia, a shift if global power.  It is time for peace, it is time for an immediate cease fire.

Red Hill Fuel Tanks Violate Clean Air Act

HONOLULU – The tanks are emitting untreated petroleum vapors into the air in violation of the Clean Air Act standards, leaks continue into the ground increasing the danger of the fuel plumes.

State Representative Bob McDermott (R-40, Ewa, Ewa Beach, Ewa Gentry, Iroquois Point),says documents show that Red Hill Fuel Tanks vent vapors from each tank exhaust into the atmosphere toward the top of the ridge. “It is not regulated nor are there any filters to reduce the emissions,” McDermott adds.

The tanks built in 1942 did not have to comply with the clean air act, not originally enacted until 1963. The State Department of Health which regulates these matters is unaware of this issue since they have no record of this issue. The Navy also claims no knowledge of it; yet their own documents state the need to, “rebuild the tank exhaust system to bring it into compliance with the clean air act to control emissions from the evaporation of fuels.”

Still storing approximately 180 million gallons of fuel, the old tanks spew air pollution and the 5,800 gallon per year fuel leaks continue, with no end in sight. I predict that “mysterious safety issues” will keep delaying the closure until the matter dies a death of benign neglect. The Senatorial delegation’s collective lack of urgency is breathtaking, it took self-described “climate hawk” Sen. Schatz until February 2022 of this year to call for closure – while I did it last September 2021.

The Democrats own this issue; The President, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of the Navy and congressional delegation are all DEMOCRATS. They oversee both legislative branches and the executive branch yet cannot get it closed. They cannot or will not get the 4 billion dollars needed to close it…just drips and drabs to fix the damage already done. 

Let me see a Decommissioning date. We can’t even get a “target” closure date. What is the closure date? There is none. All this while they blame the Navy, yet the Navy does what they are told by the Democratic leadership currently in charge. Period.

I will get it immediately Decommissioned and emptied within 18 months of taking office.
